I am fairly certain that this item is truly one of a kind. Back in 1999, the Buffalo Sabres made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. A local chocolatier made some chocolate Stanley Cups (approximately 7.5 inches tall) as if the Buffalo Sabres had won the championship before either team had won. The NHL found out and sent them a cease and desist letter but not before a few die-hard fans purchased some. Therefore, this item was rare in 1999. Imagine how many still exist today. This item was vacuum sealed right after purchase and 21 years later it is still in perfect condition. Below are two links and a quote from a local newspaper and radio station, the Buffalo News and WKBW respectively, that authenticate this story. You will never see something like this again. If you are a fanatical Buffalo Sabres fan, now is your chance to own an incredibly rare, well preserved, authentic piece of Buffalo Sabres history.
