This fan is headed to recycling/scrapping, but I’m giving it a chance on here first. This is an old box fan from Kmart. It weighs a lot because it’s got a lot more metal parts in it than the plastic ones they make these days. I think the white grilles and the handle and the knob are the only plastic on it. It was used in a barn for many years. The barn is getting cleaned out. The fan still moves air like it’s brand new. It’s louder than an all plastic fan. All three speeds work. Here are its two drawbacks… it had to have its cord repaired long ago. The brown section of cord that plugs it in is what I call “old-fashioned” . Both the cord prongs are the same, it doesn’t have one bigger prong. The other issue is that the knob (for on/off & the three speed settings) does not work that great. I would call it “stripped”. I used a pair of pliers to turn the fan on and go through all three speeds. If you are handy and want to fix the cord I would recommend it. The knob problem is just something to deal with/work around. Would make a great shop fan. See pics. TEXT inquiries preferred. Thanks.
