ReUse Action runs a low cost building supply store in Buffalo. We salvage materials from jobsites prior to demolition and then we faciliate interior and sometimes exterior demolition of houses, commercial spaces, garages, kitchens, etc. We are looking for a candidate that can help supervise staff on jobsites, someone committed to reuse and recycling, and someone that fits with our team. We are looking for the right candidate to can support our mission of diverting materials from the landfill and salvaging good materials for reuse and resale in our store. Someone that is a team player, hard worker, thoughtful, and diligent.
The ideal candidate would be someone that...
--leads by example.
--has keen attention to detail.
--keep jobs moving efficiently towards completion.
--works safely and can help others stay safe.
--can communicate effectively with project sponsors and clients to ensure that we are getting the job done to specifications.
--safely operate a pickup truck/trailer and has a clean driving record.
--can keep unaffected areas...UNAFFECTED! Dust proof and protect surfaces to ensure that things that aren't in the scope aren't damaged.
--prioritize salvage of reusable materials, because ideally we'd like to save materials whenever possible. these are the materials we save and resell in our store.
OSHA safety course preferred.
Safe driving record a necessity.
The ability to work with others, provide support and encouragement to co-workers, communicate effectively with staff and clients very important.
Salary and benefits:
Our team works a 4 day work week. We work hard during the work week and exceed expectations and you get a 3 day weekend every week.
Paid vacation.
Health care available.
Starting payrate, $22/hr and up depending on benefit option selected, experience, etc.
