Unfortunately our life has taken a completely left turn. And our son has become ill and is looking at a rocky road again. Leaving little time for Mango, who was getting all the attention all the time.
He’s a sweet bird, very social and likes most everybody. He knows how to step up, high five, dance, kiss, and fly back to his cage. He loves a good snuggle on the couch and dried fruit treats.
These birds are LOUD and not suitable for apartment living.
He’s never been around other birds and I’m not sure how he would do. I think he would like to go back to being the center of attention again. He’ll roll around on your shoulder with you ALL DAY if you let him… Please be knowledgeable about this species specifically they are not like your typical green cheek or small parrots They are highly intelligent, and destructive, Mango gets macaw sized toys and will joyfully have them destroyed in a matter of two weeks these toys alone cost average about $20 each.. keep this in mind birds are not inexpensive..
