For sale is a late 1980's Corders 8 piece drum set. This kit was made in Huntsville, Alabama USA. Here's a brief history of the Corders Drum Company; the company was created by Jim Corder in 1979, following the purchase of the dies, moulds and tooling of the Fibes Drum Company (founded in 1966) from its then owner, the C. F. Martin & Company. Jim Corder produced these wood shelled drums under his name from 1979 through 1990 and then sold the company to Sammy Darwin (Darwin Drums) in 1990. Sammy Darwin produced drums under his name using much of the same tooling until 1994 and then re-sold the Darwin Drum Company back to Fibes in late 1994. I purchased the set pictured in early 1990 which has been used only by me in a studio setting. It's finished in a rare factory red mahogany lacquer and includes; 2 - 18x22 bass drums, 10", 12", 14" and 16" toms (all virgin Jasper shells) using RIMS mounts and 2 matching snare drums 4x14" and 8x14". Everything mounted on a Collar Lock rack system. I believe this kit to be the nicest all original Corders drum set on the planet. These pictures just don't do justice to how nice this kit is and how well it sounds. I put new heads throughout the kit. Asking $1900 or, best offer. Drums and rack only.
