German Carved Roundback Upright Double Bass With Flight Case. This bass was made in the very early 1900s in Germany. For more than 25 years it was played at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. There was no work done to the bass in the past 15 years. I do not know about prior to that, it stayed in good playing condition, and kept tuning well. It is a solo bass with a loud and expressive sound. The top is very easy to play, and responds very well. It is all in one piece, without any openings, just had it checked with luthier, with flight case. String length - 42 1/2,
body depth - 8 1/4, Eb neck.
