I have this 1960 6124 Anniversary with trestle bracing for sale; probably one of the last before they went to parallel bracing. The price of $1950 USD is as low as I can go considering what I have invested in it. The guitar has had a recent and expertly done neck reset, and was refretted about two years ago with medium sized frets. (original frets included) I have all of the original parts and these will be included. Currently, it has the following reversible mods:
-hand-carved flush fit African blackwood full contact bridge base with Shaller tune-0-matic style bridge, and I will include an African blackwood saddle intonated for a plain 3rd string (original Space Control bridge is included)
-tone switch replaced with a tone pot, but shaft was threaded to accept the original switch tip so it still looks like the switch but acts as a tone pot (original tone switch with capacitors included)
-volume pot replaced (original included)
To the absolute best of my knowledge, everything else is as original except one small piece of binding replaced at the neck during the reset. Perhaps it could be stained with a teabag to match the rest of the binding. The original Waverly tuners work fine, and most importantly it has the original Patent Applied For Filter'tron. The case is original, is in very good functional condition (latches all work), and it even has the key for the locking latch. The guitar has no binding rot and everything is solid and stable; good for another 65 years. The finish is overall in very good condition with no checking, but does have a few small dings. I've used it as a jazz guitar and played it on many gigs. It always sounded great with a warm but very clear voice.
I am in Toronto but will drive the guitar over to meet in person in Buffalo or the Niagara region. The price takes into consideration the driving and delivery.
