During that time I’ve helped people with moving jobs, general labor, deliveries, event support, yard work, cleanouts, and plenty of other random projects.
One thing I’ve always appreciated about the Gig Section is how simple it can be. Somebody needs work done and is willing to pay for it. Somebody else is willing to work and make some extra money. One gets a project completed, the other walks away with money in their pocket. No fluff, no middleman, everybody wins.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work that smoothly. People don’t show up. Communication disappears. Plans fall through.
After more than 10 years doing this, I’ve learned that simply being reliable, communicative, and willing to work already puts you ahead of most people. That’s the approach I bring to every opportunity.
I work a full-time job Monday through Friday, have reliable transportation, and make myself available for select gigs during evenings and weekends.
