Job description:
Caring Transitions of Buffalo is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Transition Support Team Leader to lead teams through residential moves, downsizing projects, estate cleanouts, and property transitions.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can take ownership of a job from start to finish. The Team Leader is responsible for directing team members, assigning tasks, maintaining productivity, enforcing safety standards, communicating with clients, and ensuring each project is completed professionally and efficiently.
The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates clearly, remains calm under pressure, and is comfortable making decisions in fast-paced and sometimes emotionally sensitive environments. This position requires someone who is willing to work alongside the team while also maintaining full awareness of the project, the client’s expectations, and the team’s performance.
Responsibilities:
-Serve as the primary on-site contact for jobs taking place over Erie and Niagara County
-Review job information before arriving at the client’s property, communicating with client about invoices and project details
-Coordinating moves, clean outs and donation drop off runs with team.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, provide training to new team members
-Load and unload moving trucks with care and efficiency
- Safely lift, move, and transport furniture, boxes, and household items (up to 50+ lbs)
-Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency without sacrificing safety or quality.
-Treat clients, family members, coworkers, and belongings with patience and respect.
-Handle sensitive situations calmly, professionally, and compassionately.
-Communicate client requests or changes to management when they affect the approved project scope.
-Represent Caring Transitions professionally at all times.
Must Haves:
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Dependable, punctual, and motivated
Comfortable working on your feet and in a team environment
Prior moving, cleanout or labor experience
Drivers license and reliable transportation
