Porter/Custodian Position Available (Williamsville, NY)

The Porter is responsible for daily and periodic cleaning of assigned commercial and residential properties and is accountable for the overall appearance of the properties.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, hallways, elevators, common areas, and restrooms (Mop, sweep, strip/wax/buff floors, dust, vacuum, and garbage removal)
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and commercial tenants
• General upkeep of the buildings and grounds where assigned
• Snow removal and landscaping maintenance (keeping pedestrian entrances clear, landscaping beds free of garbage & debris, etc.)
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition
• Special projects as assigned (ie: apartment turnover cleaning, etc.)
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
• Ability to Operate Various Cleaning Equipment Such as: Carpet Extractors, Floor Buffers, Etc. All necessary equipment will be supplied
• Performs Other Duties as Assigned including various cleaning periodicals and general snow shoveling during winter months.
EDUCATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
• 1-2 years prior custodian, cleaner, or porter experience
• Must be reliable and have experience working with cleaning chemicals
• Must be a team player and be able to work with little supervision
• Excellent time management skills and work ethic needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand for an 8 hour shift
• Light building maintenance knowledge is a plus
