If you have MATURE HARDWOOD. timber to sell, please consider working with my wife and I. Present market prices are bringing a minimum of $1,000 an acre for mature hardwoods, but we had a recent high quality sale that brought $332,000 for 80 acres of good quality trees, averaging over $4,000 an acre ! We marked this sale leaving smaller healthy trees for another similar sale in 15 years. There is no upfront cost for our services. We have been serving WNY landowners for 54 years. WE select the trees that should be harvested, NOT the sawmill. WE measure and mark the trees, and send out a list of the volumes of each species, so the buyer does not have to pay his employees to gather that information. WE locate and mark your property lines, at no cost to you, avoiding any disputes with neighbors. WE lay out the road system within the wood lot and the loading area, as well as taking care of any permits required. WE also hold a cash bond in escrow from the buyer, to insure clean up after the sale. We only accept sealed, non- collusive bids, paid in advance. You will always have the option to turn down all bids, if you are not satisfied with the price. Our cost, taken from the buyers check, is the lowest LEGITIMATE percentage in the industry (ask me for proof). You cannot get buyers to offer more money than in a competitive sale where they don't know what the others are offering ! The NYS DEC recommends that using a Forestry Consultant is the ONLY way to sell standing timber. We also do TSI marking (timber stand improvement), as well as timber appraisals for estates and land buyers or sellers. We have a long list of references.
