Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking a skilled and service-driven Cering Manager to support Sodexo operions Alfred University. This role oversees a fast-paced cering department with a high volume of VIP, campus-wide, and client-driven events requiring hands-on leadership, creivity, and exceptional service execution.

You will manage a medium to large cering operion with under $1.5M in managed volume, coordining complex events and serving as the primary partner to campus clients. This role demands strong operional oversight, event design expertise, team leadership, and an unwavering commitment to delivering polished, memorable experiences.

• Oversee all daily cering operions, ensuring flawless execution of events across campus.
• Utilize Sodexo recipes, systems, and cering programs to manage production, inventory, deliveries, invoices, and procurement.
• Lead the sales process for cering and/or conference services, collaboring with clients to design creive, customized events.
• Maintain strong client relionships through communicion, professionalism, and consistent service excellence.
• Ensure staff have the tools, equipment, and resources necessary to meet deadlines, achieve goals, and deliver high-quality service.
• Establish and maintain a safe work environment, enforcing food safety, physical safety, and Sodexo’s Zero Harm standards.
• Manage financial performance through effective cost control—labor, inventory, merials, and equipment.
• Supervise and direct team members by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring performance and service standards.
• Support training, onboarding, scheduling, and daily staffing needs to maintain efficient cering operions.

• Experience in cering management, event operions, or hospitality leadership.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to design and execute high-profile events.
• Ability to manage multiple complex events with hands-on involvement and tention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety, workplace safety, and regulory compliance.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising and motiving staff.

Minimum Educion Requirement - Associe's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, cering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
