A treasure for long-time Buffalo Bills fans-------
1969 was a fantastic year in football. It was the last year of the AFL before the merger, the Jets beat the Colts16-7 in SuperBowl III, it was the Bill's 10th season, and the Bills played and AFL-record seven games against teams that went to the postseason. Losing all 7 and finishing 4-10 under John Rausch. OJ's first season ($215,000). Jack Kemp's last. The win that year against the Dolphins (program included, was their last Miami victory until 1980, 20 consecutive games.
The game programs are from the Jets (September 14; L 33-19), Patriots (October 11; W 23-16) and Dolphins (November 16; W 28-3). They are in excellent shape at 56 years old.
Do you remember these Bills? Kemp, Harris, Flores, Anderson, Edgerson, Moses, Simpson, Enyart, Bemiller, Maguire, Guidry, Jacobs, Shaw, O'Donnell, McDole, McBath, Dunaway, Costa, Brisco and Masters? See if you can identify any of these guys in the pictures (notice the standing Buffalo on the helmets)..
