Possibly from the 1940s – 1950s
May have been used for vinegar.
Textured glass bottle with a light rain pattern on the flat sides, a heavier pattern on the shoulder and around the bottom edge, and a clear glass diagonal design on the sides.
Bottom imprint: 72 3 [a round symbol] 3 2770 -2- not sure about the last figure
10 3/8 inches tall x 5 ½ inches wide x 3 ½ inches deep
Has some light rub marks or superficial scratches, the type that would be caused by bottles rubbing against each other. Almost not noticeable on one flat side. Somewhat more noticeable on the other flat side. The textured design on the glass makes them hard to see – see photo with red arrows.
One tiny chip just below the top edge– see photos with yellow arrow. The chip does not go all the way up to the top edge.
NOTE: The yellow spots in a few of the photos is just reflection from when I was taking the photos…there is NO YELLOW…the bottle is entirely clear glass.
Some very light dirt streaks on the inside that didn’t rinse out. It was found in an old barn half buried in dirt and debris. I didn’t try anything harsher to clean them off.
