Meissen porcelain oval covered vegetable serving bowl with foliate handles and a separate domed oval cover with a raised twisted foliate knop in the Blue Onion pattern with the following measurements. The oval bowl without cover measures approximately 13 inches long by 10 inches wide in diameter by 4 inches x 3 inches deep. The oval lid with a raised twisted foliate knop measures approximately 8 %inches long x 7 3/8 inches wide x 3 7/8 inches high. The oval bowl is marked on the back with an under glaze blue cobalt Meissen crossed swords mark. It has an impressed under glaze mark of "135" followed by the numbers "S99". The blue cobalt decorators mark is "39". The quality of the design is very distinct. There is a small iron oxide spot on the rim. There is a very small chip to the tip of one leaf on one of the handles. The overall condition of the covered vegetable serving bowl is a good.
