Do you know someone whose life has been affected by Domestic or Intimate Partner Violence?
Most of us know someone or perhaps even you have been victimized by verbal, physical, sexual or mental abuse. Here at the Family Justice Center of Erie County we bring unity to a once fragmented system and strive to eliminate the barriers victims often face when seeking services. In forming the FJC, long-time service-providers such as Crisis Services, Haven House, and Hispanics United of Buffalo partnered with law enforcement agencies, medical professionals, and the District Attorney to bring under one roof the essential services and support that individuals victimized by intimate partner violence deserve.
We are currently looking for dedicated volunteers Monday – Friday, 8:30-5:00 to help assist us in one of our many exciting opportunities including Intake Specialist, SAFELine worker, Child Waiting Area, Hospitality, Present a workshop or lecture, Help with projects, social events, and fundraising events, Help with regular FJC projects such as typing, and stuffing envelopes.
If this sounds like a Volunteer position for you then please call our Volunteer Coordinator at 558-5282 or send an e-mail to cchapman@fjcsafe.org
For Services please call 558-SAFE or visit us between 8:30 and 5:00 Monday – Friday in Downtown Buffalo at 237 Main Street. No appointment needed, and all of our services are free.
