Beautiful, gorgeous, and spacious 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath rear apartment in large, historic Linwood Avenue home. There is also a front apartment. Driveway opens up behind the house into a 4 car capacity parking lot. I am moving out only because I accepted a job in sunny San Diego. For someone that has had many apartments through the years, this truly is the best I've ever had. Location, location, location! It's 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes to the Galleria Mall, 15 minutes to Grand Island/Tonawanda, 20 minutes to Amherst, 20 minutes to Hamburg, 5 minutes or less to downtown Buffalo (1.5 miles). You can walk to the awesome Elmwood Strip from here and it's a hop, skip and a jump from Buffalo State College. The current roommate you would have is a great friend of mine. He is French and works for a French company. He speaks excellent English, works extremely hard and honestly, you probably won't see him much except on the weekends. Even though he is French, I have taught him well ... he loves watching football on Sundays and even gets mad when the Bills lose! He is very laid back, we had no rules here as roommates, just be responsible for the bills and clean up after yourself.
More about the apartment: The living room is awesome, we've been told we have an amazing couch (it's a huge, red sectional) and have an huge 47" HDTV (great for Bills games). There is beautiful woodwork and craftsmanship throughout the house. They truly don't make them like this any more. The available bedroom is very big with a good-sized walk-in closet and has a little window as well. If needed, I have a full-sized bed and dresser I could leave behind for a small price. Haha! The kitchen is enormous (long and rectangular)with a ton of storage space, high ceilings and 2 huge windows facing the back of the house. It's split level, so there is a sweet black metal spiral staircase leading upstairs to the half-bath and 2 bedrooms. There is plenty of room for 2 people and you won't be on top of each other (unless you choose to be). There is an extra room (a den) when you first walk in, which we've never really used as anything but an extra misc room. Right now, we had an old desktop in there with access to the internet, WIFI of course! There is also free access to a washer and dryer downstairs in the basement. It's a little spooky down there, but if you turn on the light, it's much less so. I have successfully washed my clothes many times without any monsters popping out on me so I think you'll be ok.
All utilities are included in the monthly rent except for internet cable.
