WNYDMB taps powerful local businessperson to help grow Bloomberg base and elect competent Leaders Statewide

The Draft Michael Bloomberg for Governor Project will be holding a major meeting in September along with prominent local Bloomberg supporters, and newly recruited grassroots organizers. The purpose of the meeting is to implement the strategic plan that has been created over several months with the intended purpose of further augmenting Bloomberg’s base of supporters in Western New York, and identifying and supporting other candidates who share similar views on economic and social policies. “The Western New York region has suffered from the failed leadership and polices of incompetent public officials that have caused stunted economic and social growth”, says project coordinator Syaed Ali.

The Draft Michael Bloomberg for Governor Project feels by promoting candidates who are dedicated to serving the public, providing a stable government and solving problems with grit and determination, things can and will begin to change. The group has indicated that the meeting will take place at the residence of a prominent, powerful, and local businessperson and further details will be made available closer to September.

If the project is successful fresh new faces and ideas will be filling public offices in Western New York, and the entire state.

About Michael Bloomberg & The Western New York Draft Michael Bloomberg:
Michael Rubens Bloomberg is a businessman, philanthropist, and is the current Mayor of New York City. He gained his wealth as the founder of financial news and data company “Bloomberg L.P.” Despite his status as a lifelong Democrat, he ran and won under the Republican ticket in 2001, becoming the 108th Mayor of New York. He was re-elected in 2005 to a second-term into office.
Forbes and other sources report his net worth at $11.5 billion as of 2007 and he is among the world's richest people. In 2006, he was ranked 34th by Forbes Magazine in its list of 400 Richest Americans. The following year, was ranked 142nd in its list of the World's Billionaires.
As Mayor of New York, Bloomberg declines to receive the standard mayoral salary and instead accepts $1 for his services. In addition, he does not reside in the famed Gracie Mansion, the official home of NYC mayor's, but at his own home in New York’s Upper East Side.
Bloomberg is described as a social liberal, supporting abortion rights, gay marriage, and normalization of the status of illegal immigrants. Economically, he is moderate, supporting government involvement in issues such as public welfare and climate change, while being strongly in favor of free trade, pro-business, and fiscal conservancy.

The Western New York Draft Michael Bloomberg was formed earlier this year by a group of business investors, community, and political activists, and other individuals to Draft Mayor Bloomberg to run for the presidency of the United States. Since Michael Bloomberg has decided not to run for president the group has changed its purpose to Draft Bloomberg for Governor of New York, and supports other candidates who will bring a fresh perspective and vision to public policy.
