Our band is looking for an established singer with good range and work ethic who is willing and able to play out approximately 2 times/month. Our band has been together since 2005, but we parted ways with our singer last Fall and hope to re-form as soon as possible. Our set list consists of bands such as the following: Tom Petty, Steve Miller, ACDC, Van Halen, Lynard Skynard, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, .38 Special, Bryan Adams, STP, and 3 Doors Down, just to name a handful.

We have a full-functioning PA system with great sound and have played out at such places as Bases Loaded, Root 5, Mickey Rats, and various parties and lawn fetes (the last lawn fete having over 480 people attending).

I'm in search of a rhythm guitar player. You don't need amazing chops- I'm more interested in having a good sound from the band overall, so it would be awesome if you had some idea of how to sit in the mix well...or at least willing to turn down if someone else is being drowned out. Pretty open to all styles of playing since there's varied interests in the group already. Gig-experienced lead vox (female), bassist, and drummer looking for guitarist for pop/rock cover band. We're in our 30's and 40's, have a rented rehearsal room, and are fully equipped with pro gear for rehearsals & gigs.

Our goal is to play several times per month at parties, festivals, and clubs. The song list strives to stay modern while incorporating some classics; all danceable. Examples include songs from Gin Blossoms, Tonic, Robert Palmer, John Mellencamp, Cory Hart, Default, Collective Soul, 3 Doors Down, Letters To Cleo, Poison, Bon Jovi, Garbage, Alien Ant Farm, Melissa Etheridge, STP, Lifehouse, & more.

We currently rehearse in Kenmore once or twice weekly, usually on a weekday evening from around 7 to 11 pm. Everyone has day jobs and families; this is to get out, have some fun, and make a little money. We are open to performing originals, once we get ourselves established and gigging. We are looking for a serious commitment to a long-term project. You will need to share in the expenses for the rehearsal room (appx. $40-60/month each).

Ryan(24) guitar (Playing guitar for 13 years!/Great song writing and arranging/Extremely accurate playing/lays down tracks for recording in One Take almost every time)

What im trying to get at here is... We are not the same inexperienced starter band thats all over buffalo. We are all extremely talented and dedicated to taking our passion in front of an audience ASAP!

Fred and I have been playing in a band together for 4 years now. We practice 2x a week and im always open to do more if you want to do some smaller song writing sessions. We have 6 songs Written except for the bass parts and are ready and in the process of recording. (I actually have probably 30 song ideas that are half written, just waiting for some attention)

I have been building a home studio and studying recording and production for a couple of years and we use it to write and flesh out songs, which is a very smooth way of doing things. Not to mention that i have the ability to put out some very clean and professional sounding demos without paying for studio time.

Goo Goo Dolls judging cover song contest-enter!

Unsigned solo artists and bands are invited to record a cover version of any Goo Goo Dolls song and send it in! Members of the AbsoluteGoo.com message board will listen and vote in the preliminary rounds.

Celebrity judges will be juding the finalists! Bob Mussell (rock concert photographer), Sylvia Nadler (executive director of Compass House in Buffalo), and the Goo Goo Dolls themselves.

New/oldschool freak guitarist, does not quite fit in looking for others (no guitar players!) to make sounds, jams, loops, play against visuals, record, perform, and fuck shit up. I am well versed in a lot of different genres, am melodic and noisy, use effects (fuzz, delays, e bow, slide, objects, ) great at improv. Anything interesting considered. Before you ask, no i have no audio clips you can hear since this is totally something new and will highly depend on the other musicians involved!
