I agree with the person who wrote about making $13.00 an hour. For the number of young, not fully independent children you take care of, and what a vital part of their life you must be, the family you work for is not paying you anywhere near what you are worth. Keep in mind that minimum wage is $7.15. I think you should be making a minimum of $15 or $18 - more depending on education and experience. If you help the 7 year old with homework or school projects, you are really a tutor, too, so the pay should also reflect this. In my opinion, children sleeping is part of the job and you should not be expected to do other house-hold work on the side - especially if you are working 9 full hours a day. In any other job, you would (according to labor laws) be required to have a lunch and other break times, so this should be your time off (guilt-free). Taking care of children - especially that young - is exhausting work and you deserve a break. Best of luck in earning more with this family or a new one!

We are looking for a female student who has class preferably in the evenings that can babysit our babies during the days M-F 8-5pm and live with us in our home.
