I have been trying to respond to several ads on craigslist. I am not sure if they have went through. So let me me tell you a little bit about myself...
Hello! I am looking for a full-time nanny position in the area. I can commit to a position through the summer and possibly longer. I am available to start ASAP. I am also in search of a teaching position for Fall 08, but with the competitive job market in Buffalo, there is no guarantee. Then in which, I would be able to commit to your family longer if I am not able to begin my career in the Fall.
I currently hold a degree in Childhood Education and am working towards my master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I have had many years experience working with children. I am also CPR and First Aid certified. Throughout high school I worked in a daycare setting. I also nannied during my BA and MA in college both part-time and full-time. I can provide great references upon request.
I would like to find a family who I can build a great relationship with. Not only is it important for a family to find a great nanny for their children, but for a nanny to find a great family to work for.
I enjoy dedicating my time to children and finding both fun and educational places in the area to expose children to, especially when it's nice out. I would like a family who wouldn't mind purchasing a membership or paying for admission to places such as the zoo, aquarium, science museum etc. I am a very active person and enjoy taking walks, bike riding and roller blading and would like to enjoy those too with your child(ren).
I would like a family who also doesn't mind reimbursing for gas while I drive with your children.
Besides childcare, I wouldn't mind doing errands for your family (grocery shopping, mall etc.) Other than picking up after the children, I charge extra for house keeping (laundry, family dishes, cooking etc.)
I charge between $12-16 an hour, depending on number of children and other work. With my experience and education, I am sure that I would make a great nanny for your family and you would truly enjoy having me around!
