This automobile looks and rides beautifully and is incredibly comfortable especially on long rides. It has 41k, I recently replaced brakes; tires are practically new. Sun roof, roof rack, towing pkg, alloy wheels, premium sound, window guards, power windows, power seat, two tone paint, electroplated detail and pin-stripping, stock window tinting, 4WD on demand, extras.
I keep my cars in impeccable shape including regular oil changes and mechanics as well as the body. This car is beautiful inside and out, non smoker. The dealer offered me 10,500 on a trade which is the Kelly Blue book trade value, it lists on private sale for 2,000 over that. I would imagine the dealer will try to get more. Mechanic said it needs to be reset. I think the car originally came from MA so the paint, body and underside is in excellent condition. Always starts and runs perfect. Motor is clean and automatic transmission works flawlessly. Great tires, battery, brakes, stainless steel exhaust system etc. The Cavalier was NYS inspected a couple of weeks ago. Just changed oil and filter with synthetic oil. 120K with no mechanical problems that I know of. I have a friend at work who tells me their cavalier has 300,00 miles on it. You just have to keep up with the maintenance. We are selling because we have replaced this vehicle with another already. The car is on the road and insured if you want to take it for a test ride. The truck has the 4.2L V6 motor, runs well, auto tranny, 2 wheel drive, he has owned the truck less than 2 years, he has put a ton of money into this truck in that time. 1989 pontiac sunbird gt turbo convertible
-automatic
-around 95,000 (could be +/- few thousand)
-new top and rear window 2.5 years ago
-tires are in decent condition
-very little body rust (some along the bottom of the doors)
-starts and runs
-spent $900 on the top alone

some not so good things
-car has sat for 2 years and could use a very good cleaning inside and out

-car needs brake lines and at the very least the return fuel line replaced

-I'm assuming it would need the rotors turned and possibly new pads

-the starter doesn't always stay engaged (sometimes you need to bump the ignition 2 or 3 times before it starts, its done this since i bought the car in '04)

-rear view mirror fell off the windshield

-could probably use a new battery (tried to get autozone to replace it under warranty and they said it check out fine, but it seems weak)

I took the car in to a garage to get the brake and fuel lines fixed so I could sell it, but he wants way too much to do it in my opinion. I have no time to fix the car myself right now. I don't have many options and need it gone (car is currently sitting in front of the guys shop). The car is currently registered and insured, but will need to be towed due to the bad brake lines.
