My mom started having problems with her 96 Saturn SW1, so she got a new car. It has a bunch of new parts within the last year, and is inspected until April. New parts include tires, brakes all around, exhaust including cat, and serpentine belt with tensioners.

Here's the deal, the car has a bad head gasket as far as we know. The serpentine belt broke and the cooling fan cut out so the car overheated. We had the belt replaced, but the mechanic said when these cars overheat, often the head gasket goes bad. I don't know too much so I didn't feel like fixing it. There is oil mixed with antifreeze if that means anything to you mechanics out there. The car started and drove without overheating up to the day we took it off the road, which was only a day or two after noticing the oil in the antifreeze. I tried to start it the other day and if gave me a hard time though, the battery had died, so I charged it, but it didn't seem to want to start.

We can't find the title for it, so if you want the car for parts let me know, if you want it to fix and drive, we would be happy to reorder the title, however you will then obviously have to wait a few extra days. The car is just wasting space in our driveway now, and blocking our garage so we can't keep our other cars out of the snow, so please make me an offer! If no offers are made I will find a way to take it to the scrapyard soon. Thanks a lot! All offers are considered, trades welcome as well.

Theres nothing really done to it but if your into collector cars this is for you, it is in mint condition, a few tiny scratches that can be buffed out but thats it, no rust at all, never drivin in snow.
ONLY downfall is that it is automatic. It has 3.73 gears in the rear end and chirps the tires when you put it to the floor, i took off the mufflers and welded straight pipes on for an agressive and mean sound.

1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo diesel. I purchased this car a few years ago to do a WVO (waste vegetable oil)/biodiesel conversion on, but I have since purchased a diesel truck that I want to focus my efforts on. If you know anything about Mercedes diesels, they are probably the best and most simple cars to set up for running WVO. Take a look on the internet, there are literally hundreds of resources to guide you, and you will see that there are a lot of people driving these 300Ds.

This car runs VERY strong, and the transmission is VERY tight with firm and precise shifts - just the way a Mercedes diesel should be. Please keep in mind that it looks better in the photos then it does in person. Yes there is some rust (imagine that, it is an '85!), but the car was originally from North Carlolina so the underside is really solid. There are no holes in the floors. The previous owner was a salesman who drove this car throughout the North East, and that is the reason for its 300k miles, but it runs fantastic and he maintained it well. There are many of these cars with 500k+ miles on them. Again, take a look online. This is what's known as the "million mile motor". It does need a few things like rear brake work and a rear muffler but with a little TLC, it would make you or that new driver in the house a very safe and reliable car.
